Production Readiness Audit

You vibe-coded it.
I’ll make it production-grade.

Built something real with AI? Before it breaks (or leaks your API keys), get a senior engineer’s eyes on it.

$1,500 flatFixed scopeOne-week turnaround

Your API keys are probably sitting in a public repo right now. Let’s fix that before someone else finds them.

AI got you 90% of the way. The last 10% is where it gets dangerous.

The tools are genuinely great at getting an idea working. They’re not great at the unglamorous parts, the ones that decide whether your app survives real users: secrets management, permissions, deploys you can undo, and knowing what’s actually broken. That’s the part I do.

What’s included

One week. Everything below. Each item is here because it’s the difference between a demo and something you can put in front of paying users.

  • Security review

Exposed API keys, auth holes, injection risks, and misconfigured database permissions (RLS). This is the stuff that leaks your users’ data or runs up a surprise bill.

  • Git & version control

Whether your repo is sane: clean history, a .gitignore that actually catches your secrets, a sensible branching setup. If your keys are already sitting in git history, getting them out. That one’s not optional.

  • Deployment & hosting

Whether you can ship safely: separate staging and production, a custom domain with SSL, a way to roll back a bad deploy, and error monitoring so you hear about problems before your users do.

  • CI/CD

Whether automated checks run on every change to stop the next AI-generated edit from silently breaking what works, plus a concrete plan to add them if they don’t.

  • Bug triage

A prioritized punch list of what’s actually broken and dangerous versus what’s merely cosmetic. No more guessing what to fix first.

  • SEO & performance basics

Meta tags so you can be found and shared, indexing that actually works, and the load-time red flags (Core Web Vitals) that quietly cost you users.

  • Written report

A prioritized, plain-English report you can act on. Every finding explained and sorted by how much it matters, instead of a wall of jargon.

I review every area above and fix what’s genuinely dangerous (exposed secrets, auth misconfigurations, a deploy with no way back) as part of the week, up to about a day of hands-on remediation. Anything bigger, like standing up a full CI/CD pipeline or migrating your environments, is scoped and prioritized in the report and quoted before I start, not billed into the flat fee.

What you actually get

A prioritized report, in plain English

Every finding sorted into three buckets: dangerous (fix now), broken (fix soon), and can wait. No jargon dump. You’ll understand every item and why it matters.

The critical fixes, applied

I don’t just hand you a list of problems. The genuinely dangerous items (exposed secrets, auth misconfigurations, deploys with no rollback) get fixed as part of the audit.

A roadmap for the rest

The bigger build work (a full CI/CD pipeline, environment setup, deploy migration) is scoped and prioritized so you can tackle it next, on your own or with me, and your $1,500 is credited toward it. No vague “you should probably,” no surprise scope.

$1,500flat · fixed scope · one week

One price. No surprises.

You get the full scope above, plus the genuinely dangerous items fixed. One email to start: tell me what you built and where it lives.

Shipping Rescue

Built something with AI and can’t get it shipped?

App Store rejections, code signing, provisioning, TestFlight. Or web deploys that won’t go live: custom domains, SSL, DNS, broken release pipelines. The last mile no AI tool handles for you, and the part that keeps a finished project stuck on your laptop. Release engineering is my specialty: 20 years shipping software, including iOS apps and full-stack web.

Who’s doing the work

I’m Evan, the engineer behind Blackpaw Studio. I’ve spent 20 years building and shipping software: iOS apps since the early days of the App Store, plus full-stack web and backends. MenuWeather was an Apple Staff Pick back in 2010. Release engineering and CI/CD are my specialty: getting things out the door reliably, over and over. This isn’t a junior running a checklist. It’s a senior engineer who’s shipped the real thing, looking hard at yours.
